Hi, I’m Danny. I was born in Vietnam, but I grew up in Amsterdam. Growing up in a Western culture shaped who I am today and taught me the importance of openness, hospitality, respect and bringing people together.
Coming home
At the same time, I always felt connected to my birthplace. After many years in the Netherlands, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: to return to Vietnam and make Da Nang my home once again. That decision inspired me to create Cheers Pub & BBQ.
A bridge between worlds
Cheers is much more than a restaurant or bar. Because I understand both Western and Vietnamese cultures, I see myself as a bridge between them. I want visitors to experience Vietnam beyond the tourist attractions.
